kendo?
: Kendo most focuses on respecting the
opponent because no competition can take place without an opponent.
In every situation, fron beginning to end,
respecting one’s opponent is more important then victory or defeat.
Opponent lower their eyes and bow with
respect and thankfulness before each match.
They do the same with thankfulness following
each match.
Participants also bow in respect to the
training hall and its shrine, thankful that they can practice safely without
injury.
